THE PATENT PEOPLE evaluate product inventions and ideas in terms of the degree of innovation they offer, their practical value to the consumer, their feasibility and their protectability as well as carrying out cost-effectiveness analyses.

Once we have conducted our assessments and arrived at a positive result, we secure industrial property rights for inventors and designers (insofar as no such rights have been previously registered). We work in conjunction with our associated patent lawyers (specialising in patents, utility models, registered designs, copyright).

We then work together with the inventors and designers on progressing product ideas to the point of readiness for market in order to implement products and market them effectively with the support of suitable suppliers and manufacturers.

As your partner, we will manage the whole of the process on your behalf. We conduct negotiations and conclude licence and cooperation agreements with industry, manufacturers and importers with the ultimate goal of ensuring that your invention or product idea generates licence income.

Once our team has conducted its assessments and arrived at a positive result, we will conclude a license agreement to serve as the basis for all further stages involved within the scope of product development, marketing and production.

INDIVIDUAL STAGES OF THE PROCESS

  • Contact us by telephone, e-mail or post.
  • We will always begin by providing you with a confidentiality agreement before you send us the product documentation we require for an evaluation of your ideas.
  • Once the confidentiality agreement is in place, we will need copies of all product information (texts, drafts, drawings, any industrial rights registrations which may have already been made etc.).
  • We will inform you of the result once we have checked and evaluated the documentation.
  • If we arrive at a positive evaluation of the idea, the following stages of the process will take place with your consent and on the basis of an exclusive licensing agreement for    marketing purposes.
